However, you will find iPhone 8 Plus an amazing phone when you compare it with iPhone XR. 8 Plus was launched back in 2017 and it cost $50 less than iPhone XR. Now, iPhone 8 Plus may be an older phone, it has many advantages which the iPhone XR is famous for. IPhone 8 Plus is a classic iPhone which comes with a physical home button.

Now, you may wonder which phone is right for you. A few things are worth mentioning in this regard.

Design comparison
IPhone XR comes with the 6.1-inch display which is bigger than that of iPhone 8 Plus. However, it’s the thinner bezels of iPhone XR that make the display bigger. Otherwise, the size of entire XR is smaller as compared to that of 8-plus. And since the screen size of iPhone 8-Plus, 5.5 inches, is smaller than that of iPhone XR, 8-Plus offers higher resolution due to more pixels per inch.

IPhone XR comes with six different colors which include vibrant red, blue, yellow and coral on top of the standard black and white. On the other hand, there are only three color variants the iPhone 8 plus comes in. Those three colors include white, black and gold.

Camera
IPhone XR comes with a front camera which can map your face and it has the capability to measure the depths. These abilities allow iPhone XR to be unlocked using face ID.

IPhone XR doesn’t have a second rear camera which is present in the iPhone X series. It means that there is no optical 2X zoom available for the rear camera in iPhone XR. However, software can help in the better enhancement of the images in the way you want.

IPhone 8-Plus comes with the dual rear camera. Hence, you may get impression about this feature to make the phone superior as compared to iPhone XR but it is not the case. If you compare, you will find picture taken by iPhone XR shaper and clearer than the ones taken by 8-Plus.

Performance
This is where iPhone XR emerges as a better handset. However, it doesn’t mean that iPhone 8-Plus lags in performance. Both of the iPhones are great in terms of performance. IPhone XR is faster on paper due to the fact that it contains more advanced A12 processor. IPhone 8-Plus, on the other hand comes with A11.

The battery performance of iPhone XR is rated best among all of the iPhones till date. On the other hand, the iPhone 8 Plus lasted 13 hours and 45 minutes. This is due to the major battery improvement in the iPhone XR.

All in all, there is no such a bigger difference in terms of performance, display and design when we compare iPhone XR and iPhone 8 Plus. Battery performance is, however, something that makes iPhone XR superior.
